Postoperative Management of the EVO Visian ICL

The first check-up always takes place the day after the operation. The doctor will discuss with you how to use the antibiotics, which you will have to drop for about a week.

We would like to give you some hints for the postoperative care, so that the treatment will be a success for you:

Not allowed:

- Never rub your eye during the first 2 weeks - even if it should itch and scratch a little as a result of the healing process.

- Do not use eye drops that have not been prescribed by your ophthalmologist.

- Please refrain from swimming pool, solarium and sauna visits and eye make-up in the next 2 weeks.

- No ball or martial arts for 4 weeks.

Allowed:

- On the day of the operation you should rest a little, but you may watch TV or go for a walk. Showering and hair washing are also allowed.

- You may also bend down and pick up lighter objects.

- During the first week, wear the protective shield provided to protect your eye during the night.

Have patience after your ICL operation!

After one or two days, the visual acuity is often quite good - and stable within a month. Until you get used to the new situation and the surgeon has given you the "green light", you should not drive yourself.

We plan your check-ups for you after a week and after a month. The final examination usually takes place after 2-3 months. Later, these will take place as part of the routine eye examinations.
