Who is a good candidat?

The ideal candidate for LASIK or SMILE is over 20 years old and has had stable eyeglass or contact lens values for more than two years.

He is myopic or hyperopic (i.e. with values between -8 and +4 dpt.), has a astigmatism or a combination of these visual defects.
Important: SMILE cannot correct farsightedness at this time.

There are no eye or general illnesses that prevent the procedure, and the corneal thickness is sufficient.

Exclusion criteria are:

Patients with advanced glaucoma or certain retinal diseases should not undergo surgery. During pregnancy and lactation we recommend postponing the preliminary examination.
