When can I resume my normal activities like returning to work and driving?
Most patients can return to work the next day and see well enough to drive the next day.
If you work on a computer or do significant amount of reading, your eyes will experience dryness. This is normal for the early postoperative period and you will have to use lubricating eye drops more frequently during this time.
The only restrictions that you have are to avoid any eye makeup for one week and no swimming or hot tubs for at least the first two weeks after the procedure.
In order to minimize infection risk you should not let the shower hit you directly in the face for the first days after the procedure.
